How Meditation Drives Happiness

Although, a few years ago, my unhappiness wasn’t caused by my thoughts; it was my undigested emotional Monkey Mind heart that was the issue. The resulting drama and chaos seeped up from my unclear heart and hence the body suffered as a result.  So, to settle these ingrained responses in me, and heal repetitive thinking, so as to order, calm and clarify it, I took up several heart felt practices for emotional release, deep changes and full blown heart openers.  For me, Meditation was vital.

Why?  Let me share my thoughts with you some more…

To get out of the head and into the heart space and to deeply feel into the body, I had to be still and quiet in silence.  I needed to sit deeply in mediation so that I could feel the parts of myself that needed fixing, back then, using the Chakra system as my helping technique.   Only when I had fine tuned a mediation technique, was I able to devise practical techniques in order for me to heal on many levels.  I had ignored my body and how it spoke to me for so long.  It was time to start listening and paying full attention to my sacred body through my daily mediation practice.  This was the key because intuitively, our bodies are designed to tell us how to heal and subconsciously, we do this, but to be mindful and be fully present in order to fully heal from the inside out, is paramount.

It is believed the the chakra centres are like energetic motors within the mental / emotional / physical energy field we have. Each chakra centre relates to a different area of our body lives.  The health of a chakra is governed by our beliefs about ourselves in the particular area of life that the chakra is related to.  For instance, the root chakra relates to our sense of connection with our fellow human beings, as well as survival issues. If a person believes they are unsafe and trust is difficult, this chakra will tend to be pulled and not joined in harmony with the other chakras. This will affect the organs in the area of the root chakra, such as the sex organs which can be under or over balanced, and can cause a wide range of manifestations.

Energy flows where attention goes. Thoughts are powerful forms of energy. We all have experiences of reading each others thoughts, such as having a song in your head and someone next to you starts singing it, or knowing who is on the other end of the phone before answering it. The old way of looking at such things was that they are just coincidences. But as more and more of us are becoming aware of the true nature of our being – that we are all inter connected ‘Energy Beings’ – we now realise that we should follow our own Inner Guidance rather than the ideas, rules and restrictions that in the past society placed on us to follow. We are so much more powerful than we are lead to believe.

Where the mind goes, so does our creative power.

Practicing Meditation does not guarantee that all your challenges will go away. What it does promise you, is that you will have a set of effective tools to deal with whatever each day to day brings.
